01Who we are

PrideConnect ("we", "us") operates the PrideConnect website and apps, a social platform for LGBTQ+ adults to meet people, share content, organise hangouts and stay safe.

02Who can use PrideConnect

• You must be at least 18 years old. We close accounts we believe belong to minors.
• You may only have one personal account and must use your own identity — no impersonation.
• You must not use PrideConnect if you have been removed from it before, or if the law where you live forbids it.

03Your account

Keep your password secret and tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to your account. You're responsible for what happens on your account.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Your data. Some information is kept for a limited time as described in the Privacy Policy.

04How to behave

Everyone on PrideConnect agrees to the Safe Space Charter and the Community Guidelines. In short: respect identities and pronouns, get consent, never out anyone, no hate, no minors, no commercial solicitation, no spam or scams, and no sexual content in public areas.

• Don't harass, threaten or intimidate anyone.
• Don't share other people's personal information or images without consent.
• Don't use PrideConnect for sex work advertising, selling or recruiting.
• Don't try to find out someone's exact location or bypass our privacy features.
• Don't scrape, automate or reverse-engineer the service.

05Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, posts and messages you share. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize and display that content only to operate and improve PrideConnect, according to the visibility you choose. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for safety or legal reasons.

You confirm you have the right to share what you post and that it doesn't break these terms or the law.

06Moderation and enforcement

We review reports and may remove content, limit features, suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these terms, the guidelines or the law. Where it's safe to do so we'll tell you why. You can appeal a decision by writing to support@prideconnect.app.

We may cooperate with law enforcement when required by law or when someone's life is in danger.

07PrideConnect Plus

Plus is an optional paid subscription. Prices are shown before you pay, including taxes where applicable. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel in Settings → Subscription (or in your app store if you subscribed there).

When you cancel, Plus stays active until the end of the current period. Unless the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable. EU consumers: by starting Plus immediately you agree that the 14-day withdrawal right ends once the service has been fully provided; you can still cancel future renewals at any time.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; the new price applies from your next renewal.

08Meeting people

PrideConnect doesn't run background checks on members. Verification badges only confirm that a selfie matched the profile photos at the time of review. Please follow our safety tips when you meet anyone in person. You're responsible for your interactions with other members.

09Availability and changes

We work hard to keep PrideConnect available, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features. If a change materially affects you, we'll let you know in advance.

10Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the conduct of other members, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11Ending these terms

You can stop using PrideConnect and delete your account at any time. We can end these terms or suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly break them, or if we have to for legal reasons.

12Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims in your local courts. EU consumers can also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

13Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll tell you about important changes in the app or by email at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using PrideConnect after that, the new terms apply.
