Safe Space Charter

Community guidelines

PrideConnect only works if everyone feels safe to be themselves. Every member agrees to this charter when they join. Breaking it can lead to content removal, suspension or a permanent ban.

Last updated September 29, 2026

01Trans and non-binary people belong here

PrideConnect is for the whole LGBTQ+ community. Respect people's identities, names and pronouns. Transphobia, biphobia, "no fats, no femmes"-style exclusion and questioning whether someone is "really" queer have no place here.

  • Use the pronouns people list on their profile.
  • Preferences are fine; putting groups of people down is not.
  • Don't ask invasive questions about bodies, transition or medical history.

03Never out anyone

Many members aren't out everywhere. What you see on PrideConnect stays on PrideConnect.

  • Don't screenshot or share profiles, chats or photos outside the app.
  • Don't try to identify, locate or contact people off the platform without their consent.
  • Don't reveal anyone's orientation, gender identity, HIV status or other personal details.

04No hate, harassment or threats

We don't allow hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, body, HIV status, gender identity or sexual orientation, and we don't allow harassment, bullying, threats or glorifying violence.

05Adults only

You must be 18 or older. Never post content involving minors. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities. If you believe someone is under 18, please report them — these reports are reviewed first.

06No selling or solicitation

PrideConnect isn't a marketplace. Advertising, selling goods or services, sex work solicitation, recruiting, fundraising scams and paid promotions aren't allowed. Hangout hosts may share costs openly (for example splitting a picnic), but not run commercial events without our permission.

07Be real

  • Use photos of yourself, and don't impersonate anyone.
  • No catfishing, bots, spam or fake engagement.
  • Don't ask for money, gift cards or crypto — and report anyone who does.

08Keep public spaces safe for everyone

Profile photos, the feed and hangouts are public areas: no nudity or sexually explicit content there. Keep intimate content to private conversations where everyone has agreed.

09For hangout hosts

  • Describe your hangout honestly and choose a safe, public, accessible venue where possible.
  • Welcome people of all identities that fit the hangout's stated theme.
  • Share the exact address only with approved members and look out for your guests.

10If something's wrong

Use Report on any profile, post, comment, message or hangout. Reports are anonymous and reviewed by people. You can also block anyone — you'll disappear for each other everywhere. If you're in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
